About Super China Buffet

Located at 2650 N Narragansett Ave C5 - C8, Chicago, IL 60639, Super China Buffet operates as a chinese restaurant serving Chicago in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–9:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Wednesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (773) 637-1888. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Chicago is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Illinois's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The entire experience was...honestly miserable. Many years ago we came to this buffet repeatedly. It USED to be really good. The food was amazing back then. But now, it was a complete disappointment. The cashier didn't bother asking if our parents were seniors or not, and seemed hesitant when we asked if there was a senior discount. Afterwards...the food was miserable. I was really hoping it would be good as many buffets we have visited in the past few months have been awful in terms of quality and selection, and this used to be good. But several food items were cold. Others were stiff and dried out. Some, like the wonton soup, felt raw to chew and the meat ball cores were dry somehow, which was a juxtaposition that shouldn't be together. The sushi after inspection was the same two types of stuffing for about 70% of it. There was no actual sushi with fish, it was all the meaty cream filling, imitation crab rolls or fried rolls with imitation crab. The only thing different was the sauce on top, which I must say, means that none of this was actually sushi. Just a food item that masquerades in traditional sushi forme. The crab ragoon was extra dry, some with very little filling. A

This was an absolutely horrible experience from start to finish. The staff treated me and my family with straight-up disrespect β€” body shaming people and laughing right in our faces like it was funny. The food was straight trash. Everything came out ice cold, barely seasoned at all, and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. The portions were tiny, the flavors were completely flat and bland, and some dishes were so overcooked they were tough and dry. It was genuinely inedible. Total waste of money and time. Never coming back.

I have been going to this wonderful Chinese restaurant for so many years probably since they opened up around 20 years ago, they are so close to me (only 4 blocks from my house) I totally love their food, their affordable prices, the ample variety of dishes and their friendly staff, I totally recommend them and I see myself being their loyal customer for another 20 years! πŸœπŸ›πŸšπŸ€πŸ¦ͺπŸ₯ŸπŸ₯

Everything was excellent, it just needs to have spicy food or a spicy chili oil sauce like the other buffets.

I have heard about this place from other people but today I decided to come with my son. To experience the food options that they have to offer. Am from the northside of Chicago and THIS WAS THE BEST FOOD OPTIONS EVER!!!
